Anyone doing maths at nuig?? 2nd year up??

I'm in 1st year and doing maths and maths physics- just finished and passed exams wahoo!

Thing is when me and my classmates were studying for our exams we could have really used the help of a grind. I know there is the terrific resource of SUMS- and we did use that extensively but we really needed a more intensive session with someone qualified. We looked at the grinds register online- and saw several people offering grinds- we contacted them but the majority of them didnt respond and if some did they would ask what we needed help with and when we told them they said they couldnt help us!! Anyone know of someone who would offer grinds to 2nd year students if needed??

Hi. Did maths physics for one semester in second year but found the tutor to be very good. He used to go all-out explaining questions.

Would have suggested SUMS as well but you clearly already were on the ball there!

Don't know of any particular people giving grinds but keep an eye on the notice boards for them, nearly always with a number as opposed to an email address so you can find out fairly quickly if they can help your with a topic/area.

I cover those (& other) topics, 1st/2nd/3rd year.

I'm on the register (Mathematics) & I've helped a lot of folks get good (60%+) passes... some (very) 'last moment' ones too..!
