    Hello all,

Non-Irish bride here... we are getting married about an hour away from where everyone lives.

Will my Irish mother-in-law expect a thank you bouqet? She will be in the hotel for 2 days after the wedding, and then travelling home, so not sure it is practical...

    Thanks!

The best time to give flowers would be during the speeches.Normally when the speeches are towards the end.95% of the time flowers are given to both mums and maybe to a gran mother.

    Hi,

If she won't be able to take them home, I wouldn't bother. There's lots of other nice things you can give her, doesn't always have to be flowers.
