Any opinions, experiences etc... with this social grouping? I'm from the midlands so I'm very 'middle of the road' about them, what do the rest of AH think about them?

Care to elaborate? Were you affronted or accosted by such an individual from said county? Or at least a half decent rant.;)

Ah it's all been said before in countless other Cork-bashing threads.

Tbh this thread won't last long enough to muster even a half decent debate/slanging match.

In my experience Cork people are very very similar to midland social groupings.
    Look and smell the same.

Yeh I thought as much, personally I wanted to see if anyone outside of Cork actually had anything interesting to say as opposed to the usual sh*te about them.

Wtf is with all these Cork threads?

It's Ireland, people aren't that different from one end of the country to another. The island is just too small for any huge differences.

Cork people are grand, by and large. Aside from the embarrassing chip they have on their shoulder about Dublin.

    Mom knew an auld fella from Cork once who used to insist everyone was from there;

    "Bob Molloy"
"Sure he's a cork man, like"
    "Terry Wogan"
"Sure he's a cork man aswell like"
    "Ronnie Drew"
    "Cork man through and through"

    Except for one name
    "Hitler"
"He was not a Cork man"

Just wondering why the "God I hate Dublin" thread was killed and this thread allowed to live....that chip on my shoulder is starting to give me jip.

Was wondering that myself. I wonder if it's because certain(read:All) mods are Durty Jackeens.

Personally I have no strong feelings about anyone in this country except.

    1. Tipperary have some of the Hottest women.
    2. I find it hard to relax when in Dublin, as in I simply don't trust to take my hand off my wallet. (My Da was actually robbed in Dublin last Thursday, but I didn't really trust it before then anyway.)

And French people, I will never trust the French.
