Hi, i got approved for a mortgage and agreed a price to buy a house 2 months ago! Since then i have signed for my mortgage and have signed a direct debit mandate. Unfortunately due an issue wit the planning permission in the estate i dont want to go ahead wit the purchase anymore! What fees am i likely to incur? I know i have to pay my solicitor but what else?

If there was a valuation done on the house for your mortgage, you may have to pay for that - typically around €130.00.

Apart from that, there shouldn't be any charge, unless you're dealing with a broker where you agreed a fee up-front.

I take it you didn't sign contracts and jane over a 10% deposit.
