As it says on the tin, what are your favourite death scenes? Might sound a bit morbid, but sometimes they're so off the wall you have to chuckle rather than cringe. Bonus points for creativity, like the liquid nitrogen scene in Jason X (abomination of a film, but some hilarious deaths) or the killer sunbeds in Final Destination 3.

The double body bags from Jason X...Bob pinned to the wall in Halloween...Flyboys demise at the gobs of the zombies in the original Dawn of the Dead simply because it's such an "Ah Jesus no!" moment! :D

That'd be "Choke on 'em", one of the best last lines ever given a character! :D

You mean when he's limping down the hallway before he dies? It's "come on" or com aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! if you like :)

LOL,just rewatched it and it does sound like that. Its come on though.

There is a cool back story to that scene. When he is been put in place with the prosthetic for the death, the latex is filled with pig entrails. The problem is that the fridge they had them stored in was unknowingly broken so the guts had gone rancid. They were sitting inside the airtight prothestic for a few hours so naturally when it got torn open the stench was fcuking horrendous.
Joe Pilato reckons its because of this that his grimace and reaction to being eviscerated looks so real as he was fighting to not puke his ring up.

Sorority row wasn't a great movie or a passable one really but the fact that most of the girls died while deep throating something :-P one was taking a drink out of a glass bottle while lying down and the killer sneaks up and whacks the bottom of it twice so it hits her spine and the bottle start filling with blood :-P

Here are some of my faves
The girl getting ripped apart in the tent in the awful Jason goes to Hell
The drill to the head in City of the living dead
The bullet through the peephole in Terror at the Opera
The guy getting his tongue pulled through his slashed neck in The Gateway Meat

It's always been this one... brutal kill! :D Jason also cops a feel of some boob, blatantly.

Epic fail for me there.... :o

One that would stand out for me is the scene in The Hitcher
when the girl is pulled apart by the two trucks..
I think it was the fact that C.Thomas Howells Character is soooo close to saving her - but he just can't, and Rutger Hauer is just a complete ba*stard.. this stands out as you don't actually see it happening - but when she starts to scream your imagination runs riot..

That and a load from the Saw series which are just too numerous to mention!..

The rip scene from the Hitcher remake

The squishy death at the end of Saw 5

i cant remember if it was Jason X or that hell raizer in space but the girl faling on to that giant cork screw and her whole body twirling on it as she went down.

Also loved the cat death in one missed call, crappy movie the only thing I remember was that hand grabing the cat and pulling it under the water so funny.

the opening double kill in Argento's SUSPIRIA and the explosive finale of DePalma's THE FURY are quite memorable...

    Which one?

Woo-hoo! Where are my doggy woggies?

    :pac:

Death Ship has a couple of fairly cool deaths: the candy jar, the shower and the scummy fishing net thing. It's an awful movie, but I have a fondness for it because I loved its box artwork from back in the days of the grimy video rental shops.

Looking forward to a couple of good ones in The Raven, but am apprehensive because of the 12A rating. That's like a 2.1% beer. :p

I know there are loads of great ones that I can't think of right now (always the way)

Just got a dream warriors shirt so this is the first one that sprung to mind. I always appreciate a one-liner with my death scenes :D
