Damn short game

Hit the ball as well as I ever have today in Headfort yet ended with 83 & 81...

I hit 13 greens in the 1st round and 14 in the 2nd...

HAd 4 birdie putts within 4 ft and holed none of them and even managed to 3 putt on one..

Pitching wasn't much better.. Have spent hours upon hors working on it and have seen a lot of success but this killed me today as I really should have been max 1 or 2 over combined had so many 3 putts and was level through 8 on the 1st course LoL

How did any of the others get on???

Played the worst I can remember in a very long time, I nr'd on the ninth in round 1, meltdown off the tee and put myself in places nobody has ever set foot.

Played ok in round 2 but the day was a write off. Thought the greens were terrible even though they contributed little to my bad play.

Still contemplating whether I will bother turning up for Baltray next weekend.

The greens where horrid couldn't race them or lag them as the different grasses where pulling the ball offline and over exagerating breaks..

Don't think 1 of us in our group held anything outside 6ft bar 2 monsters from 1 guy which would have been off the other side of greens..

Putting it down to one of those days as was chuffed with my ball striking...

Jesus, your legs will be bollixed after those 2 days, although I think Corrstown is only 18 holes.

Ahh should be ok..

Played 2 36 holes & a 18 hole alongside a good bit of practice on Saturday over this w/end and feeling ok tho did have a good sleep.....

Starting my heavy lessons tonight with 90 mins mainly on short game tonight so heres to hoping this is all worth it LoL

Jesus, a 99. That makes me feel a hell of alot better about my dismal display.

That was actually from the group ahead was a 2 ball... I was playing with one of the lads who had 78 as went out a little behind due to some late comers...

I heard someone saying at half time that they had been nervous standing over a putt on 18... he made it for a 99. So, there was obviously more than one 99!!

Scoring was rubbish overall... best i saw am was a 75, then a 77, then a handful of 78s and 79s.

Expensive day for me because I now have to get rid of my driver and find a new one before it becomes embedded in a tree!

FT5 tour is on my shortlist, 10.5 prolaunch blue. Hit a demo one pretty sweet and can pick one up from the US for pretty cheap!

I must have cursed it pre-round... sorry!

Tried the FT10 a few weeks back and hit it lovely. Was working out at 450 euro-ish though so i didn't bother in the end.
