    Hello :o

Booked driving test yesterday, thinking I'd be waiting for 8 weeks to get tested. Email this morning....my test is in a month :eek: Now this would be all well in good, if I could drive! Ok thats being a bit dramatic, but I'm not great. I've had one lesson and been out with my parents a few times but thats it! I'm not doing anything for the next 4 weeks (college hols) thank god, but is it possible for me to learn to drive? or even pass?

ya definately. just get as much practise in as you can yourself. get comfortable.
once your comfortable yourself get lessons to iron out the kinks and you will be good to go.

Practise , plenty practise .........know the rules of the road , and put them into action .

The rate of failure for first timers is high , afaik.

But it's best to give it a go anyway .

If you are stopped , and you can prove you have applied , or indeed , if you are stopped and they know you done it and have to try again ........it helps

+1, as far as passing the test goes, it's certainly doable, you'll have to learn to drive with passing the test being your one and only goal but it's doable alright. I had a friend in the same boat as yourself, he had 4 weeks to go from nothing to passing...and he did just that. Now, he is by no means a "good" driver, and took a long while to see that he was comfortable behind the wheel even though he had a full license. But how and ever, best of luck with it all and keep us posted.

    +1

Get as many lessons and as mush practice as possible and it may well work out in you favour as you will not have a lot of time to pick up bad driving habits
