    Hi Lads,

    Looking for some info for a friend doing phase 3 who has been told he's going to Port Laois for phase 4.
    Anyone serving there or know what it's like? I said I'd try and find out for him.
    Is it a country roster or week of nights? What's the station like?
    Is it a busy town?

    Im not stationed there but I do know it is a very busy station. Although the station is quite big it has been outgrown and they are very tight for space. They operate with the country roster there and I belive it is a fairly busy town. They also have the 2 prisons there as well as the physiciatric (sp) hospital too.

    For more info would recommend calling into the station itself. Your mate will get a warm if not rude awakening welcome :D

    I know someone there and they get quite a b of traffic work with the dublin limerick motorway there. Also there is a post with the prison there. And files for public order and everything else! Files files files...

    When did the phase 3's (KB) get there stations?

    Scubadave must check list to see if any new probationers will be coming to his lovely station!

    Yeah they got them yesterday. Well they didn't give them out during college. My mate got a phone call when he got home off a class mate of his to tell him to ring the guard room. He was on the phone about 40 minutes!

    Anyway back on topic, thanks for the replies lads, I'll pass it onto the buddy.
