    Howdy.

Just a quick question concerning the above.

I have a spare room in the house I'm staying in that will be free to use a few of the week. I want to record some acoustic guitar but the sound in the room is not great. I can't treat or leave anything in it.

Would this make much of a difference to recording? Has anyone used one before?

Would there be a better (non permanent) way for the money involved. I've read the other sound treatment related threads but none answered my question directly. Great info though.

Nothing that a couple of duvets wouldn't do just as well IMO.

Yip... and to further isolate the room ambience a reflexion filter or instrument reflexion filter would help too

I've heard varying reports on them, but it makes sense to me.

I had too, but I got one on loan from a fellow boardsie & it made definite improvements to both vox and also on acoustic guitar.

Studiorat is right though, I'd start with the duvets

The Max walls advantage is the fact you can put it up and take it down, as well as it's functionality.

However they're quite expensive and as Da Rat implies .... you'd buy a hell of a lot of Duvets for that money and not have things sounding any better.
