I've been training consistently up to the start of the week for the Ladies Marathon, in sessions of 45 minutes up to an hour and a half. All good.

However, I didn't get any training done this week at all. Now it is Friday afternoon and I am taking part in a race on Monday that I would like to finish in under 60 minutes. Any last minute tips as to how I do that? Is it possible?

Run for about 20-25 minutes today. Do something real easy on Sunday, maybe 10-15 minutes jog plus a few strides just to loosen out. During the race make sure you give it everything you have. In my early races I found that I didn't realise just how hard I could push myself. Just coz it hurts doesn't necessarily mean you need to ease up. Don't worry about looking good, chatting to people, smiling or waving for cameras - just get the job done. You can't do anything about it once it's over, so make sure you put the full effort in while you're out there.

+1 - Keep today's run at an easy pace too.

You have done the work over the past weeks, this week would not have made much difference.

Yeah, don't worry about what you havn't done this week, it won't have made much, if any, difference. Probably better for you actually having an easy few days before hand.

Sure it's only a "marathon", nothing to worry about... :)
