No I can't say I've heard of that happening.

Anyway I hurt my hand in my sleep last night. It feels like my thumb is badly sprained.

Could be a rented dialler looking for valid phones to gather for spam or to be sold to other spammers.

Could be a Granny you shared your love with recently

Oh it was on of those calls....... you'll probably drop dead in a week.

Don't worry about it though, just don't look in any mirrors this day next week or a freaky black-haired Japanese kid will eat your soul.

More than likely a police station.
When i got phone calls from the supt in charge of firearms licencing it came up as a strange four or five digit number eventhough the station is listed in the normal way.
    They're onto you..

That sometimes happens when you receive phone calls from Gov.t buildings* that have extension codes. All that shows up on the display is the extension code.

i.e Guard calls from Store st. ext.1123, and your phone display shows up as 1123.

My wife works in a similar set-up and it shows up when she rings from work

*might not just be government buildings but its the only one I've ever noticed it with
