Metroid Prime Trilogy

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. Nintendo are releasing the 2 gamecube Metroid Prime games and Metroid Prime 3 as a trilogy package later this summer. MP 1 and 2 have had their controls reworked like MP 3.

This is almost enough to tempt me to get another Wii (upcoming rumoured announcements of new Zelda and Mario games at E3 might sway me even further). Between the 3 games, its 50-60 hours of happy time.

Great news for those who didn't own a gamecube like myself and missed out on 1 and 2! Don't forget some great sports games like Virtua Tennis 3 and Tiger Woods '10. Its looking up for the Wii this year with possibly a new Zelda on the way too.

Don't think it's been given a date outside of Japan yet, which is probably why there's not been anything about it. Still have Prime and Echos GC discs, and corruption for the Wii, but I'll definately be buying this for the re-done Prime and Echos.

Apparently the FMV clips in Prime don't look great, but they're not that common.

There were FMV clips in the GC games? None I remember.

I own these games already so won't be buying it but for anyone that hasn't played them then get them as soon as they are available. I actually much prefer the first two prime games over the 3rd one since corruption lost the sense of isolation that the other two games had and the boss battles only really got tough when you got about two thirds into the game. Oh and don't be expecting an FPS like Halo, these are far superior games but are more zelda than halo. Some people give up on them far too quickly expecting a dumb shooter.

Only played a small bit of the 2nd GC game, fell in love with Prime 3 on Wii, I think I'll be picking these up if the price is right.

Other than World of Goo and Boom Blox when friends are over the Wii is overshadowed by the xbox these days.

good news indeed lucky for those who didnt get a hand on MP1 and 2.just finished Echoes ,(yes,i finished MP3 before it)and i love it despise people seems doent like MP2 that much. as a whole i think Corruption did a perfect ending for it altho it seems out of the usual metroid advanture style abit.i must say MP series is no doubt a truly epic FPS(FPA) - exceptional puzzles, story, graphics, everything!just one problem i find tho,MP needs hell lots of time and brain cells to deal with lol
