Anyone who has been to a UFC show in Vegas, please be honest with me how badly it's gonna hurt my wallet.

I talking about return flights from Dublin, maybe 3/4 nights in the MGM Grand, good (maybe 1st or 2nd tier price range) tickets for a UFC show and spending money.

Would I be wrong in thinking I'd get it for €900-€1,100 per person?

It's just 2 of us heading over if that makes any difference

Well Vegas UFC shows have tickets prices usually from $100 - $1000 but if its in the Mandalay theres really not a bad seat in the house (dunno bout MGM but it is bigger), hotels prices vary depending where you stay but for the MGM your lookin at bout $600-$700 (probably better off in the luxor since all youll do is sleep there), flights are starting at about €700 and spending money would be whatever you can afford(cant have enough in that place). My trip last summer cost me about €2500 but I was on my own, really went all out and had the great exchange rate. Totally worth it if you can get the money together though

purely by luck we went to vegas last year at the same time as the lesnar v couture fight last november.we chanced our arm and got tickets no problem from the desk at mgm for i think $350.it cost 800 euro for flights and 6 nights in the luxor.it all depends on the time of year.the flights were 550 quid and hotel 250 per person sharing.
had a quick look and flights are now averaging between 750-900 euro till the end of summer.my advice is to go nearer the end of the year it will get cheaper and also book every thing yourself not tru a travel agent.delta are usually the cheapest and www.cheapovegas.com will give you all the info you need on every hotel in vegas

Thanks for the responses guys. I might try go for the year end show. They do a solid card every year between Xmas and New Year's it seems. UFC 79 had GSP Vs Hughes and Chuck Vs Wandy and UFC 92 had Rampage Vs Wandy, Mir Vs Nog and Griffin Vs Evans. Thing is though, the Saturday between Xmas and New Year's this year is Dec. 26th, St. Stephen's Day. Would they have it on this day or would they be more likely to have it on January 2nd?

I've looked into a few flights and hotels and got a good deal staying in Circus Circus for 5 nights and return flights for €550! That way, I'd certainly have the money to try get cage side. Just gotta hope that the dollar stays weak

That would be a solid plan as UFC ARE planning on making this year show as special as the last ones.

    Hi OP,

I'm going to UFC 100 and this is the break down of the cost.

Flights Dublin to JFK €532 with Aer Lingus return
Flights JFK to Vegas €234 with Delta return
Luxor 8 nights Pyramid deluxe room €450
Ticket $300 €250 at the FX rate.

All in all €1,466. This is excluding fan expo and 4 seminars with Wanderlai,Urijah,Dellagrotte and Bravo $440 €325 and spending money and $25 a day gym pass to Xtreme Couture and Striking Unlimited :)

Just as a pointer with flights. I messed around an awful lot looking for a cheaper flight when Continental had them at €690 return but held off until they went up to €840 which I thought was too much. The above flights I got with a 20% US flight sale which Aer Lingus had a month ago and Delta had special that week from JFK on internals so it pays to shop around. So book early and shop around with internals etc. BTW Delta have gone awful expensive in the last couple of months. The flight all the way with them with the JFK connection that I got is retailing at just shy of €1,200 at the mo.

After flights and fight tickets, you can really do Vegas on the cheap in terms of spending on hotels/food/drinks.
Ringing the hotels directly is the best way to get quotes, the cheapest central hotel in Vegas is probably the Imperial Palace. Also try Ballys, Flamingo, NYNY. Google for a map of Vegas to see which location suits you best.

You can live on $20 per day if you eat cheap, portions are huge, buffets are really good value outside of the most luxurious hotels.

You can pay the penny slots in any casino, tip $1 to the waitress for a beer/vodka+ or whatever. Tip more than that and you can have 10 drinks for $20-$25.

If you're not on a budget then Vegas is far more enjoyable, especially in terms of restaurants.

Myself and another Superwoody are going to UFC 100 as well. Flights and 6 nights at the Excalibur hotel were €1050. They really ramped up ticket prices a huge amount for this event, for instance seats that were normally $700 were $1000. The 2 of us plumped for $500 seats, and they're not really anywhere near the cage. Since this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us, we went for the Ultimate VIP package for the UFC Expo, which means no queueing for anything (including autographs) and a load of other perks, like getting in early etc.

We got our tickets through the Fight Club, which was great because apparently all the tickets were sold out before they even went on sale to the public. There's such demand for these tickets that if you want to buy them at this stage, you're gonna have to shell out big time. The only way you'll get them at a reasonable price now, is if someone in the Fight Club is unable to attend and they're letting their tickets go. The active community over there are a fair bunch and from what I've seen, most of the time they only want to make their money back in those circumstances.

As far as I know, Mandalay Bay are offering discounts to UFC fans who want to stay there UFC 100 week.
