Study SFX Make up

    Hey,

    I'm 27 and want to start studying special effects make up in Uni, mainly in the Uk. does anyone know of any Uni's that have that course?? totally at a loss as to where to start looking :o

    Try UCAS, they are a bit like the UK version of CAO except a whole lot bigger. They also have a course search facility on their website.

    For SFX make-up look under 'Make' rather than SFX.

    The London College of fashion has a 3 yr degree course in make-up and prosthetics for performance.

    Find out if they train you in gelatine or foam latex techniques, foam latex the more modern way.

    You may be better off going to the US and doing a course at MUD or somewhere similar.

    Dick Smith does a correspondence course which looks amazing (and is expensive!) and you'd need to be very disciplined.
