Chipped tooth:

Chipped my front tooth quite badly on Sunday night past.
Im on jobseekers' allowance at the minute but never bothered applying for a medical card.

Should I apply for one now to try and ensure I don't have to pay for it or will that take ages. Im in a wie bit of a hurry to get it sorted for obvious reasons.

Failing that, I must just go up the North to get it done as I would imagine it would be a lot cheaper to get it done up there.

I think the medical card would take a good few weeks, perhaps phone them and see if they could rush it through.

Probably best you 'bother' yourself and apply for it now incase it happens again

I went in person to the community welfare officer to apply for the medical card and I had my number within two weeks.

I don't know if this is typical at all though. I'm in Galway City.
