I was parked today and when I returned i found a parking ticket which
said that i had a 60 euro fine for "Failing to display a current vehicle disk".

My tax was out of date a month. Can anyone confirm will i receive a
court summons for this? I will be paying the tax tomorrow.

If you fail to pay the 60 lids you'll go to court.

Been there done that, just pay the fine and thats it!

As far as I know you won't as long as you pay the fine in a specified time (it should give details on the ticket). It only goes to court if you miss that deadline.

Pay the fine and it won't go any further. Fail to pay the fine and you will be summonsed to court.

If your tax is only out since the end of April, the wardens usually give you a bit of leeway (seeing as you'd have until June 5th to pay the tax without having to pay arrears). You must have been really unlucky to get one in a particularly foul mood.

There is your ticket out of the problem. They spelt disc incorrectly!! :p
    Just kidding

Is your tax within the one month or more than one month?
If I remember correctly there is a one month grace period for you to get your vehicle taxed.

The one month grace makes sense. I tried to tax my car at my local county meath office but the queues were horrendous. I sent cheque by post instead but the disc took 3 weeks to arrive:eek:
