    Hi

I currently have sky+ in one room and a Humax HD Freesat receiver in second room. I'm thinking of uprading to sky multi-room.

If I set it up as follows:

Room 1 : Sky plus box with two sat cables connected to dish
Room 2 : Sky plus box and the Humax HD each with one connection to dish.

    I'd like to know

    1. if sky+ would still function in Room 2 so that I would be able to view or record one channel on the sky+ box with only the one sat feed.
    2. if I would be able to record one channel while watching a previously recorded programme on that box.

    Thanks for any clarification

    Why?

answer to both questions is yes connect cable to input 2 on sky box+

The reason I want to do this is so i can switch easily between humax HD and sky+ in the second room.

Why not use an OCTO LNB so you can have up to eight feed cables?
