    Hi,

Had the van in for the test today and it failed, couple of welds needed and a light casing but it also needs a new load sensing valve for the brakes. Rang a ford dealer and got quoted €500 for it which is a joke, even the service guy said it was a piss take trying to charge that for it. Its a 00 reg old model swb transit.

Anybody know where i could get this at a decent price or had anybody failed on this before and how much did it cost you to get sorted. Im not payin that much 4 a valve as i only paid €1100 for the bloody van.
    HELP!!!

Try cityspares, you might be able to pick up a cheap secondhand one.

Is the last of the 00 transits or the first of the newer model?

If its the last of the old model you should be able to get a 2nd hand one fairly easy. They dont rot unlike the rest of the van so should be still there when everything else is turned to dust.

Just make sure when you are getting it that the lever on the valve isn't siezed and that the plunger still moves in and out with the lever.
