Dave can you make the Friday an over €200 event. I'm sure you are prolly looking at €300. We can then add all the events as ranking events.

We also have a two for one deal on with the Forster Court hotel just quote poker when booking the room

they really look after us and as most of you know has a great residents bar facility ;)

    Hi Biscuits

    The cash league results ??

A big congratulations to Emlyn Long on winning the cash league final , It was close fought battle withEmlyn being short stacked for most of the night until he made the final table with the fifth highest stack
It was a thrilling final table with Emlyn taking the top spot , Sean Nocton was second ( despite spending an hour in the pub !! ) and Siobhan Blaney was third ( remember she won it last year ) , Andrew Burke was fourth and Niall Hennessy was fifth. And final congats to Viv Browne who came sixth winning over €1k for his nights work . The overall prize pool was €12,000 and again we would like to thank everyone for contributing to what was a great night of poker
Also a big congrats to Anna Gilchrest on winning the Double Chance tournment on the same night
A Really enjoyable night with 8 tables in full swing for the best part of the night :)

One of the lads just rang me there and made a very good point , If you get the RETURN fare to Galway from Dublin €20 www.gobus.ie its CHEAPER !! than a taxi into Dublin City centre , and the bus is fully airconditioned and has free wifi !!!!!

Can someone confirm what time this starts at? The text message I got states a 3pm reg and a 4pm start. This thread and the Eglinton website say its 2pm reg open and a 3pm start.

Also, is there anywhere close for parking? I'd like to avoid sticking it in a rip-off multi-storey car park if possible?

    Sorry about that Bantee

It was as stated on the original post and our website that it was to start at 3pm but we made and error on the texts ( Mr Kelly is all over the place after his recent engagement methinks :D ) so the start time is now 4 , thanks for the post we might have missed that one

    Cheers

    Hi Dave,

I'm driving up so is there anywhere handy I can park nearby while the game is on as I don't plan on staying overnight?

Seeing as we are starting at 4 , I would suggest parking in Woodquay , which is just around the corner from the club ( pay and display )
Also there is a private carpark on newtown smith road ,2 minutes walk from the club , or market street car park ( where i park cause they cant get you for an out of date tax disk ;)) but you can park in the loading bay outside the club after 7.30/8.00 pm and its free

    Hi Folks

65 runners on the day which generated a prize pool of just under 11k !

It was won by a Limerick raider , and just as well because I'll be the first to admit that there is a little bit smugness creeping in to the Galway boys game ;) so WELL DONE RORY HOGAN !!!

A great day of poker with the usual craic and shennanigans ( most of which are unprintable ) with a lot of very sick heads sunday morning :p

The final finishing positions were as follows

    1. Rory Hogan 3k
    2. Keith Ryan 2k
    3. Seamus Morrissey 1.5k
    4. Liam Tully 1k
    5. Frank Healy €850
    6. David Bennett €700
    7. Steve Kovacs €600
    8. Frank Fox €450
    9. Rita Quirke €350
    10. Pat McGinley €200

A Big Thank You to Neil and Big slick poker for running the event with us and a big thank you to all the players , especially the Limerick lads , Mayo boys , J W and ciaran who as usual wrecked the pub hotel and pretty much anything they could get their hands on !!!!

From all of us here at The Eglinton

Great craic in the tournament on Saturday. Very well run and Galway is a great spot for poker.

Well done Rory on taking the monies back here to Limerick. And fair play to Rita on another FT appearance, she has these Ladbrokes games in her pocket lately :D
