2 Theft Convictions

    Hey guys,

About a year ago, I was given the gardai warning (1st offender or something? Im not sure what the name of it was) for theft under €50. And stupidly, I was caught again for the same thing (this is so embarrasing). I was wondering what is going to happen? In terms of getting arrested....a fine....not permitted into the US...etc. I have a hearing with the sucurity personnel in my college next week and Im assuming its going to the gardai surely.

I was just 18 a couple of days before the first offence and am still 18.

If anybody could shed some light on the situation. Thanks for your help.

Firstly to be convicted of an offence/crime a person needs to plead guilty or be found guilty in a court..you don't have any convictions.

Your first transgression sounds like the Garda just gave you a warning or indeed you were dealt with under the adult caution scheme.

The more recent again sounds trivial so when you meet however in the college next week apologise and offer compensation. By the sounds of it the Garda will not be contacted.

Neither has any bearing on getting a US visa.
