A friend of mine is over from the U.S. at the moment and wants to go to a gig on Saturday night in Dublin city center. Any ideas? They're interested in rock, and possibly some trad music. No metal. :(

Radio City might be worthwhile. I was supposed to go see a band playing there that night but got dates mixed up and now I'm double booked.

I don't know if it really counts as rock, but Rodriguez is playing Whelans on Saturday night. Should be a great gig.

Our band (Something Blue) is playing in the Gaiety (midnight) on Saturday night. If he likes AC/DC, Kings of Leon, Thin Lizzy, GnR, the Police, Creedence, Free, etc. just some good old fashioned Rock n Roll, it might be an idea for you.
