Of all the cities to have "smart water".... Galway has the most problematic water supply in Ireland!! Just after ordering 15 2L bottles of water from tesco with their 1cent delivery - tired of getting sick off tap water here!

The Copenhagen guy sounds Irish aswell. This reminded me I forgot to buy water.

Sorry to ruin the guessing: http://www-03.ibm.com/press/us/en/pressrelease/26922.wss
IBM and the Marine Institute Ireland have completed the SmartBay pilot information system to monitor wave conditions, marine life and pollution levels in and around Galway Bay. This real-time advanced analytics pilot is turning mountains of data into intelligence, paving the way for smarter environmental management and development of the bay.

Yeah I think they got the word smart from the fact that your a**hole tends to "smart" after getting the runs :D

Sounds like IBM just made a big Bladecenter servers deal!

Lads this is'nt anything new, sure when DEC was at it's best the early 90s in Galways it was designing and building hardware to support traffic control of trains, buses and road networks all over Europe! sure they still used a PDP not so long ago in Zurich controlling the trains!!

We just don't don't implement anything here
