I suspect there is a Superquinn employee in this thread.

    What difference does that make?

Cheaper than Sainsburys. Fact. Considerably cheaper when you factor in time/fuel & fingernails. :D

And, no I am not a Superquinn employee; I'm an ex Superquinn employee.

I don't know if I want a massive baby do they have any small ones, it would save the missus a lot of pain?

these price drops are running til mid august according to thier website

I thought it was illegal to have a sale on baby milk. dont get me wrong i'm delighted - but to protect breastfeeding theres an eu initiative to stop 'sales' on infant milk (< 6 months)

They should declare themselves as an employee of Superquinn if they're going to sign up promoting Superquinn. To do otherwise is dishonest and explicitly forbidden by the rules of the site.

MANY many thanks to the OP for the bargain alert

By the way to answer someone else's question I think its only the FOLLOW-ON formula milk (eg Aptamil 3) that can be discounted as the WHO guidelines are breasfeeding up to 6 months....

    Is it not considered "Shilling"

Or many a Dunnes one, to rain on the SuperQuinn bargins alert.

The OP highlighted a promotion. If they are an employee and breaking rules then they should come clean.

Let the appropriate mods sort it out.

However, as it's going to save me and my missus a small fortune, I don't care if it was Fergal Quinn himself (or whoever he sold out to) who started the thread.

I just didn't like the way they were insulting our intelligence with the hilariously sh1t attempt at blending in.

    "Cheaper than Sainsburies!!!!"
    "No Need to go North!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And then the wingman comes in to give an extra layer of authenticity:

"Burrrr, saved me some petrol, Im common I am, yarrrr".

    A bit bored are u?

Not to mention one poster spelling Superquinn in capital letters in all his posts just in case we were too stupid to pick the name out otherwise, like.

Is everyone suspect with less than 1000 posts? I will have to start posting comments on everything or nobody will believe me

I checked the prices in Superquinn vs Tesco and eg. Huggies size 3 are €5.59 per pack in Superquinn and I saw today Tesco are running a special 2 packs for €19.99. I'm going to splash out and buy her some branded nappies in SQ :D

Yeah, i think Thargor is suffering from a bit of paranoia....

God people are really paranoid- no business interests in superq either(better use abbrivations or will be accused of advertising!). Just a mum looking to pass on the bargains to others. Have been on other websites and its common practise, wont advise again! Seriously people, you need to chill out!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,063 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

Superquinn must have good programmers, these adbots sound almost human :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,087 ✭✭✭paddydriver

All these price reductions happening just show how much they are ripping us off the rest of the time and what kinda margin they are making on this stuff!!

And that ladies and gentleman is the nub of the issue rather than being distracted by conspiracy theories as to who started the thread...

Don't know whether that's the case or not - but all the Aptamils (1-3) seem to be discounted in the 'sale'. Don't tell the WHO!

Step away if it has Chinese writing on the box, though. ;)

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,790 Mod ✭✭✭✭Tabnabs

I noticed it said Aptimel 1 & 2 discounted, but they were advertising Apt 3 at the same cheaper price but almost as if it was always this price. No mention of discount?

Thanks to the OP for posting this. We are all stocked up now and hump the WHO! :pac:

Thanks query08 for the lead....went and stocked up for my 3 week old baby girl yesterday!:)

who cares if theres a VI on bargain alerts, times are tighter now then the last few years so everyone will appreciate a heads up on VALuE/DISCOUNTED prices.

Now if someone is on shilling normal priced goods representing no value, then that is a differant kettle of fish.

Some posters on this thread should learn to spot the difference
