Test Tomorrow; Service light on dash.

    Ok as per title, I've my test tomorrow and just yesterday the service light came on as a service is due. I don't think this would be too much of a problem, only Renault, in all their wisdom programmed it to simultaneously display "Change Oil" on the dash.

    Will this be a problem for the test? They seem a bit anal about road worthiness and while there's absolutely nothing urgent about the service (it's calculated by a mileage countdown) might they **** me over because of it?

    Thanks

    I Hope this helps found it on net not sure if it covers your model of car!

    Good luck in the test!

    You can reset the "oil change required" warning by doing the following:
    * Start engine.
    * Highlight the message "oil change required" on the computer.
    * Then press the computer button on the end of the right hand stalk. Hold button for 30 seconds. This will reset the warning. Works on a Scenic & Laguna.....should work on a Modus.

    I doubt a service light would cause any problems for a test, so long as it's not an engine warning light you should be fine.
    Best of luck with it!
