I am trying to remember the name of a movie. I do not have many clues but maybe someone can tell me.

It was about a cop who had killed or did some crime and was involved in the investigation. All the time it was getting close to him being revealed but each time it seemed he was caught something would happen like a phone call with a false lead or something.

At one point he was in an inner office behind a glass partition from the outer office and it looked like they cops outside the glass panel were going to realise it was him.

Very vague sorry would love to see that film again, don't think i saw all of it.

    Thanks

Sounds like Matt Damon's role in The Departed.

it could also be No Way Out with Kevin Costner...sort of

Tom Farrell is a navy officer who gets posted at the Pentagon and is to report to the secretary of defence David Brice. He starts an affair with Susan Atwell not knowing that she is Brice's mistress. When Susan is found dead, Tom is assigned to the case of finding the killer who is believed to be a KGB mole! Tom could soon become a suspect when a polaroid negative of him was found at Susan's place. He now has only a few hours to find the killer before the computer regenerates the photo

Sounds more like Out Of Time (which I suppose was jsut a shameless rip-off of No Way Out). Isn't there a scene in the police station where they have a witness brought in who would recognise the cop? It matches that glass partition scene the OP mentions.
