I'm, looking to buy some new tyres, can anyone recommend some decent tyres for size 700*26C.

    Thanks

    Go for the yellow ones.

No, really, I don't even know what type of bike you have.

700 x 26 is an uncommon size - for whatever reasons 700 x 25 and 700 x 28 would be more common. What kind of riding are you doing? Long weekend spins? Commuting?

    I suspect the sizes 25mm and 28mm corrrespond to imperial 1" and 1 1/8".

The key thing to bear in mind is that you don't need to go exactly for 700x26c, if you want pretty much the same size you can just go 700x25c or indeed 700x23c if it is a road bike.

Giant seem to like 700x26c on some of their entry-level racers for some reason.

You would need to provide details of the bike, price and your intended usage to get a good suggestion. If it is a racer I would go for 700x23c Schwalbe Ultremos, if you want 700x25 or 700x28 for commuting and don't want to spend much maybe Contininental Gatorskins. That is what I use anyway.

Any opinions on Vittoria Open Corsas? My Ultremos are looking a bit shabby, and these come in 23 and 25 (although regrettably only the 23s come in red).

    You're a wise man, Lumen.

Yo, If you're looking for something for commutes and you're not riding at weekends then you could try these. I had them on my road bike for winter. As can be seen from the chart, the smallest size is 28C.

It's a giant scr 2, used mainly for commutting about 20K a day.

I have never used them but Open Corsas are meant to be extremely nice tyres, especially in terms of road feel- you hear them compared to tubulars.

@OP- Giant road bike mainly used for commuting I would probably go for Continental Gatorskins in 700x25c.
