So I went ahead and tried this last night on my Asus EEE 1000. It's a beta so obviously there's still some work to go on it.

Initially the UI is very nice and the browser bar at the top is quite responsive.
IM module does not have MSN capabilities atm. It does have google.
Wireless did not work for me at all, given I was just trying it I wasn't arsed to go and try and re-install the drivers via terminal. Just hooked a cat5 cable in.
Twitter updates is a nice feature but if it had something similar to twitter apps with broadcasts from friends it would be better.
Internet browser is nice and there's firefox installed if you don't like the default one.
Browsing for files was fine and I like what they've done with the media tile previews.
It also has a bootloader similar to grub so the setup to multiboot was fine as I have XP installed as well.

There's a bit of work to go on it imo but with Jolicloud doing the same sort of distro atm, whoever releases first could end up with a big market share. Until either is perfected though I'll be sticking with cruncheee.

Looks very cool, all the OS's on my netbook went bellyup the day before i left for the states, so i installed ubuntu 9.04 standard edition on a SD card and i'm finding it great, i did try the netbook version but i wasn't wild about it. I think this Moblin distro could be cool, but for the mo i think i'll be happy with Ubuntu.
