    Could anyone tell me where the nearest beach is to kilkenny city, is it far....thanks

    Tramore or Woodstown in Waterford would probably be closest. They're both about 50 minutes/1 hour away.

    Given that Kilkenny is technically a land locked county your really limited to wats in Waterford or Wexford....Waterford (Tramore etc) being the nearest

    Yeah, the closest beach is behind Billie Byrne`s at the top of John Street; its only visible on Saturday June 20th at 8pm though for our Summer Solstice Beach Party;)
