Credit Card Terminal

Guys, we are currently with Elavon for our card processing but decided to shop around for a better rate. AIB have come back to us with a very good deal, but the problem with them before is that we use an IP terminal from Elavon (t4220) which is really fast yet AIB only ever had the ingenico dial up ones. Now AIB have said they have the t4220 but as they have only launched it I was wondering if anyone had any experiences of it on the AIB platform as it seems a new technology for them and don't necessarily want to be a guinea pig for them! Anyone have any experience of it, and also what type of PIN pad is used on it - is it the same slim one that Elavon use as the sales person didn't know (!)

Don't know about AIB's T4220, sorry, but just thought I'd say that the card companies will usually match a quote you've got from a competitor if it means keeping your business. If you're unsure of AIB's systems and the only reason you're thinking of moving is the price difference (ie, not service issues with Elavon or something), then I'd just suggest calling Elavon Customer Services and asking for a rate review, telling them you've got a better offer from AIB.
