I had a tip with a 2008 Ford Cmax a few weeks ago. I scraped about 10 inches of paint from the bumper, on the ridge of the bumper to be exact. It could be touched up with a pen but in fairness I said i would cover the cost to get it repaired properly. The bill I received is just over €300 Euro which I thought seemed very high. Does this price seem reasonable?

Well, it's more than likely a full respray of the front bumper. 300 is fairly reasonable IMO.

seems ok to me. He might have to match the paint into the wing or bonnet so it doesn't look off colour.
That's what you'd pay for a proper job, imo

if the repair is being carried out in a bodyshop, and not a touch up crowd, then it is a good price..€300 is not bad for that..
I wouldn't say you are been ripped off.

Naw, €300 quid sounds reasonable to me.

    Sounds cheap if anything, TBH.

Had a back bumper sprayed about a year and a half ago as someone scratched it and it was about 200 + Vat and this was because I had used them before so I'd say the 300 is pretty on the ball

Too late now but the advice would be shop around. I got quotes recently for Rust repairs on both rear wheel arches and excessive rust on lower sills on a Civic. It failed the NCT because ot the rust. Quotes were €300, 350, 375, 400, 500 and €600. Needles to say I went with the €300 at Rathcoole Crash Repairs - superb result.

€300 seems average, if not cheap. Good that your dealing with a genuine person and not one of these chancers who would try and claim for a new bumper if they could!
