    KIDS!
ColorTv release their new breed of Electro House Party into Dublin’s City Centre Friday 5th June. The night will be monthly, usually the first Friday of each month with guest djs from home and abroad. The house may be small but the sound will be big, WE GUARANTEE

The Venue is The Cellar @ Peadar Kearney's on Dame St, (Formerly Rogue), but the club is still as funky and intimate as ever. Be prepared to get up, close and personal with everyone, and I mean everyone!

We plan to throw a monthly party where eclectic people mix with an eclectic affair of music, everything from 80s electro to tomorrows grinding techno, to create a seriously good house party vibe.

    The line-up for the opening night has been confirmed;
Dublin’s finest ‘Al Keegan’, supported by ColorTv DJs Eoin Smith, Fredrick, Louis Hopkins and House stalwart Sean Kenny to seriously mix things up from the word go.

Color TeleVisuals on the night will be provided by Greg (Finscéal Pháidí/RTE)

We wanted to create something new and something different for Dublin on a Friday night, we’re pretty sure we have but that’s for you to decide!

    Doors 10pm
    Drink promotions on the night
    Admission €5

It all begins on June 5th so we hope to see you there!

Plus, a top Irish Dj has been just confirmed for July 17th, so watch this space!!

....Friday 5th June 2009 will most probably be remembered as a day when the voters struck back, witnessing the beginning of the demise of a failed Government. To a more modest group of party followers, however, this day will be remembered for another reason. ColorTv, a wee small idea of Ciaran O’Brien and Frederic Meagher, was launched on that Friday and done so with surprising professionalism. Staged in a new ‘old’ venue, the Cellar @ Peadar Kearney’s on Dame Street, formerly Rogue, the almost carnival atmosphere was a far cry from that usually associated with the raucous electronic soundtrack that boomed through the night.
It could have been the earlier diversity in music; Sean Kenny pulling off with a set of 80s/90s house, to a spontaneous live deck and drum machine set from the dance floor à la newcomer ‘Taper Jinx’ that got people in the mood. Taper, a fuzzyheaded music student, aka Eoin Smith, is most definitely one to watch for the future.
Aided with television-esque gimmicks such as 3D glasses, old televisions, and cheeky visuals, the atmosphere was as serious as a Shane McGowan President; a key objective.
The music, however, was no joking matter. Frederic then Louis Hopkins, two DJs who may yet become ColorTv mainstays, were next up and pleasantly greeted the gathering crowd with some upfront, punching electro. The mixing was solid and the tracks were tough but at this stage the dance floor was making about as much noise.
To add the professional touch and finalise the evening’s proceedings ColorTv contracted the services of Dublin's young yet immensely experienced ‘Al Keegan’ (Rubberband/AciDisco). His set of moody tech house and techno was both relentless and sweet at times, peaking during his looping around with Funkagenda's take on Fatboy Slim 'What the Fu*k', one of many highlights.
As votes were being frantically counted elsewhere, another more apt party was warming down after a truly memorable night. Click here for photo’s!

One thing I will say for the lads is they did what they wanted to do, and did it well.

Most importantly? There were no politics here. Whatsoever.

ColorTv return for a second fixture on Friday 17th July Featuring Arveene plus support and visuals by ColorTv. Doors 10pm. Admission €8.
