Up late one night there a few months ago and a Japanese movie was on Film 4 , enjoyed it and thought I would get the name of it off the net but never found it and it never seemed to be on again .

The basic story was set in the future where aliens were killing everyone and some scientist have made a machine so they could go back in time to when the aliens first arrived . A young girl ends up going back ( don't want to reveal why or how ) and she teams up with a gang member/small time hood .

Would that be enough info to give for someone here to know the name of it ?

Anyone ?

Forget it , after searching since I first saw it , I post here in despair , then go back to google , type in nearly a full sentence description , and guess what............ the first page listed . Returner . Good film , great special effects .
