lightning mp3? Soundclick's where it's at, good quality streaming but requires sign-up.

    zshare
    megaupload

no wait time on them as far as i rememebr and with z share people can play it from the link,no need to download it.
also zippyshare does the same thing

+1 for zshare. It hosts a stream of the mp3 and you can hear it without downloading it.

Why just zshare, upload to a clutch of them at once. There are plenty of similar multiple uploader sites, this is just one.

    Upload your file..

Example hosted .txt file, you provide the link:

    ATARIJAGUARRRRRRRRR.txt

Just looking at drop box. Do all my friends have to sign up to it too?

No. You just put tracks into the 'Public' folder and then right click... you'll see an option for Dropbox... then 'copy public link' and then paste that to anybody you want.

Nobody can access the public folder - it's just named that way to mean 'this content you can share via a link to others'

    :)

    Thanks NJ

When I copy the public link to my track and send it to someone they get a stream of the music - they cannot download the track.

    Am I using it incorrectly?

They would be able to download it - sometimes the link may open their browser etc...

If you want a way to privately preview online... then get a free Soundcloud account, upload your music and make it private / turn the download option off (which it is by default) and then you can link to that once it's all uploaded - that keeps it's fairly safe, just don't post the whole thing if worried at all and just have a preview up there.

I already have a soundcloud account - didn't know there was a download option. Thanks.

What do you mean -"dont post the whole thing if worried at all"?

As the music you put on soundcloud can be ripped (even though it's only 128bps) - so just if you're worried about people stealing whole tracks etc... some people care about that sort of things, other not :)
