Hard to oppose Ross Fisher this week, short enough perhaps but take into consideration what he done last year combined with his current form 12/1 is a decent price maybe. In saying this the weather was awful last year for this, very windy and battering rain so not many got into it and Ross hit some amazing putts. I'm a bit biased as he is one of my favourite players and a true gentleman.

Graeme McDowell at 33/1 is worth a tenner.

2 at a bigger price of interest to me anyway are J Milka Singh 66's & P Hanson 70's.

I find that betting on golf generally ends in failure, certainly more failure than with football or horses. With 150 odd competitors it's a far bigger field than the grand national. Maybe I've just been burnt once too often by a 66-1 shot that failed to make the cut. Again. And again.

Going to put 3 up for the Colonial in Fort Worth this weekend, my ex home course :p

    Brian Gay 60's
    Webb Simspson 360

I have to agree with you there.I think a better strategy would be to place a bet after round one of a tournament. You'll get much smaller odds but you'll have an idea if your choice will make the cut.I've lost count of the losers I've backed in Golf tournaments before the off.

Very good advice. Think I might tentatively dip my toes into the the murky waters of golf gambling again.

i see lorenzo-vera shot a good round yesterday.....spoke with his caddy/ brother and his coach at baltray, watched him on the practice ground, then followed him for 13 holes. They said forget Wentworth but he has a good chance around kent, it suits his eye!!! and i forgot to put something on him....TYPICAL!!

Jeev thankfully had a fantastic last 6 holes to be joint leader by 3 shots going into the final day. He stuggled early and scrambled exceptionally well, rimming the hole a few times too, as I'm sure with many others, he could easily be a few shots clear, I expect him to close it out tomorrow and I'm hoping a few of you followed me in especially the op.

Sadly P Hanson had a +7 round having been 2 off the lead at one point, a real shame as it would be nice to have some back up going into the final day, but Jeev will be steady and surely has the momentum back with such a fantastic back 9 today. Currently trading at 2/1 so you can take a €360 profit for your tenner if you are on, from a personal point I'll be waiting till he trades at around 2/5 before I consider laying anything off.
