Do you scratch? Do you think it's cool? Would you like to learn, or are you just not bothered... I think Scratching is a admirable talent that is certainly very impressive and takes serious skill do be done well, but for more than a bit of fun I don't really see the appeal.

    love it,love it,love it.
but only in certain genres and only when its well done.
works well in hip hop, breakbeat, drum and bass, and happy hardcore.
its definitely a skill.i find it mezmerizing to be honest.
love watching those dmc videos, kentaro, qbert and all them fellas
i can do it a tiny bit(nothing to brag about) but not confidently since i switched from vinyl.

When done right I think it's an artform, but when just done for the sake of it it can be painful to listen to.

Agree with Sean, love watching the youtube clips of the top guys doing their thang.

Kinda sussed it out recently how to do it but the amount of practice you need to put in to get any way decent is ridiculous, think I'll leave it to the experts. :pac:

I only started trying to scratch in the last few months. I've got one or 2 tricks kind of figured out and when they work they sound great but too much of it can be annoying. Mind you i think the following are awesome. 4 very different takes on scratching

never really bothered with it - it's great if it's done well and with restraint, but my idea of sheer hell is to be stuck in a room full of people scratching all bloody night long...

    or worse - beatjuggling poorly
