Making swing changes

Well I have booked in 8 lessons over June/July with a very good pro in trying to get my game back to what it was all those years ago...

Knocking the footy on the head and going to take the golf serious again and am expecting huge changes over the coming months with hopefully being able to get some sort of form togeather in time for Aug (Lord Mayor's trophy maybe) and then spend the winter in the gym and working on the game with monthly lessons..

What are your experiences with swing changes and how long before you could trust them? Is all the pain worth it in the end as will be a long slow process by the looks of things all trying to get back to a swing I use to have LoL...

If you had a good game in the first place then I'd imagine it's an easier transition from a bad swing

I got 6 lessons at xmas and have changed my swing with a large amount of success. I had a typical out to in swing with large right to left divots. These have gradually straightened up with only a small divot. I've also changed my stance, grip and am still in the process, 4 lessons down...

It's a linked procedure so I work on 2-3 things before going back for my next lesson. I put the clubs down for alignment and resist hitting pointless balls at the range. It can be quite tedious but the results cheer you up

If you're swinging 2-3 times a week then I'd guess you'd expect a noticeable improvement within a month, what do I know though.....probably best off not putting a time constraint on it. Good luck.....
