This might sound crazy or is crazy.Broke up 5 months ago,8 year realtionship.tough breakup but getting by.It ended because it needed to,was dragged on for over a year atleast, lived together for 5 years but we were not happy near the end.We still meet up but since I found out,she told me she is seeing some one else I cut contact by about 90%.
Having a good time now with my friends that I didnt spend alot of time with before,my ex lost all her friends,I think girls are different regarding this.

I m invited to a party this weekend and when she heard she complained I didnt invite her
She wants to still meet up and go with me to the party this weekend no strings just as friends, since she heard about this party she has arranged a date with her new man the following evening.I actually dont care, aslong as I dont see them.

Is this all just a big game, that has to be played tactically.I d invite her to the party but
    1.hope she does nt go
2.MY friends will think Im crazy if she arrives and they ll eventually find out about the new man

I know you hear cut complete contact but we are still friends and ended as friends

Well if you're friends and you share mutual friends you're going to expect to run into her, but if she's getting mad becase YOU didn't invite her to YOUR friends she can take a running jump.

You're not really friends btw- that's just papering over the cracks.

Tough spot mate especially giving it was an 8 year relationship.

Her getting in a strop about not being invited to a party is a bit of a strange one in fairness. It sounds like she wants to have her cake and eat it TBH.

My advice would be dont ask her to go to the party,ye will meet up with friends, likely have alot of drinks, start talking about old times and next thing you know its Sunday morning and ye are doing the naked monkey dance.

Sounds like she has had 8yrs of being invited by you (no doubt) to parties, birthdays, events, etc, and she still expects it even though she's moved on and has a new man. Tell her to wind her neck in, let her have her little strop if she must. Go to the part, enjoy yourself and flirt outrageously with lots of (single) females :)

Don't invite her. Just don't mention it and hope she forgets about it. I'm betting if she does come along you'll have to listen to her bang on about this new guy and even if you don't care anymore, there's no reason to listen to it.

At the end of the day, you's are finished, so you've no obligations to invite her to anything. No doubt she will lay the guilt trip on you but don't fall for it.

    tis a toughie...

My advice is cut all contact... its going to end that way either way. You are "friends" and she's gettin pissed about not gettin invites.... It'll end up in an argument and you not talking to each other anyway imo.

i think she wants to have her cake and eat it. Reckon she doesn't want to see you move on???
