No-one's gonna pay 5 grand for it though, especially because you've no way of knowing if it's authentic or not. And I'm sure there are a few other HC final balls floating around too!

It looks like it's a genuine match ball all right, but no way of knowing whether it's the one it's claimed to be. Either way, why would that particular ball be any more or less valuable than say the ones for the drop goals, pens, try? (which it obviously could be too).

I reckon there's about 20 of these things, and they'll all be somewhere or other. If it was signed, in a case and had a cert of authenticity it might be worth something near the 5k.

I'm sure there's probably someone out there dumb enough to pay for it, but wouldn't be surprised to see it end with 0 bids.
