buffalo hard drive 1tb

Hi All Was wondering if anyone can help with this issue. i have a buffalo hard drive 1tb which has gone into sleep mode(D3). when i turn it off and on it still remains in sleep mode(it is on) so i cant access any of the information on it. this is the same on different OS and PC's.
