I need to get myself a new overcoat. I know that they have mostly been removed from the rails for the summer season but who has the best selection of coats?
I'm looking for something slightly longer then knee length, in wool/cashmere. Something with a touch of formality to it.
    Any ideas?

Try Arnotts, they usually have a good all year round selection of men's overcoats in a variety of shapes, styles and sizes. Every man should have a formal overcoat in his wardrobe. You never know when the unexpected occasion arises when it is needed.
If you can't find what you are looking for there, pop across the road on Mary St to Diffneys. They are one of the last bastions of men's clothing and stock very good quality ranges. They should have what you are looking for.
Lastly, try Marks and Spencer which I think is directly across from Diffneys.

I forgot about Diffneys. Might have a look in there this weekend. Arnotts is also on the list of stops to make. And I couldn't agree more about needing a formal coat.
Sadly my girth has now exceeded my existing coat and exceeded it way byond any tailoring miracles. :o
