The Taoiseach has announced €70 million in grant aid to the beef

and sheep meat processing industry. Mr Cowen said it was expected

that another €100 million would be invested by the industry itself.
The investment is designed to improve the competitiveness of the

industry and will create another 800 jobs.

Close to my home in Waterford about 4 years ago. my sister and 30 others
were left go from dawn pork and bacon. A month later they were replaced
by check workers. Now they are rewarded for their treason by getting Tax
payers money. Crazy! Fina Fail buddies no doubt. Who is getting the 800 jobs
