    http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/General-news/2009/May/may1509-tagged-for-dropping-sweets/

This guy was arrested and electronically tagged for dropping sweets from his motorbike.
West Midlands Police confirmed: “A man aged 19 was arrested on the March 16 in Lancaster Circus, Birmingham, on suspicion of endangering road users.

Must be something to do with how hard those mint imperials can be. You could break your teeth on one of those things.

Ridiculous. Though I saw a britcops episode once and some dude was arrested on incitement to racial hatred just for singing "I have turban on my head." The policeman afterwards lamely defended his decision even though it was obvious that he knew he was in the wrong and carried out the arrest just due to his own self importance and irritation. I honestly have a problem understanding how these things get implemented at all.

I doubt they would know or care. The changes to the law could happen at any time, and without direct approval of the general public. Just slip it in, and have people suprised when it happens to them.

Not in a stereotypical nationalist way but in a OMG Tom Sharpe novel kind of way. When it does happen we will have Ivana Bacik Polictician and Law Proffessor on Newstalk 106 telling us that our legal system is amongst the finest in the World based on UK law and that UK law is persuasive precedent.

Didnt we have the chips and seagull case in Donegal -if I am not mistaken where there was talk about whether a littering conviction of the perpetrator were possible the seagulls having eaten the chips.

Think I will pop over to sStephens Green just now to make some citizens arrests at the duckpond.

Hardly, since my post didn't even mention Britain or show any disapproval of Britain in any way.. look. If you have issues with Britain, don't project them on me.

    Wow -you are touchy.

Its a common feature of silly interpretations of laws and we have our own examples. Sorry if I offended.

In cases like this you'll see that it's usually some knob on a power/self importance trip, to be expected in a backwards ****hole. Remember this is the country where children were beat for being left handed.
