Pentecostal Liturgies (Christian Thread)

I'm a Pentecostal, but we don't generally use set liturgies like that. We would believe that the worship leaders and preachers in each individual church are led by the Holy Spirit to conduct services in different ways according to the needs of each individual congregation.

Having said that, I'm pretty sure that many, probably most, of them will be led to preach from Acts Chapter Two this Sunday.

This year our church has been praying and fasting for 21 days leading up to Pentecost Sunday. Then, starting Thursday, we commence 3 days of non-stop 24 hour prayer (people form a rota) which culminates on Sunday.

May the Holy Spirit pour out His gifts upon us this Pentecost!

"Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love.
V.) Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created.
R.) And You shall renew the face of the earth.

    Let us pray.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen."

    God bless,
    Noel.
