Pentecostal Liturgies (Christian Thread)

This Sunday will be the feast of Pentecost. Reading the thread on confirmations here reminded me of that. I'm guessing some of the active posters here are Pentecostal Christians. Would other Christian prayer meetings on this day have the same readings as in the Catholic church? Typically do you have a fixed liturgical cycle or is it very much up to the preacher/congregation which readings will be studied/prayed/meditated upon at any given service?

For the record, this Sunday's readings in the RCC will be:

First Reading: Acts 2:1-11
Psalm:: Psalm 104:1, 24, 29-31, 34
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 12:3-7, 12-13 or Galatians 5:16-25
Gospel: John 20:19-23 or John 15:26-27; 16:12-15

I'm a Pentecostal, but we don't generally use set liturgies like that. We would believe that the worship leaders and preachers in each individual church are led by the Holy Spirit to conduct services in different ways according to the needs of each individual congregation.

Having said that, I'm pretty sure that many, probably most, of them will be led to preach from Acts Chapter Two this Sunday.

This year our church has been praying and fasting for 21 days leading up to Pentecost Sunday. Then, starting Thursday, we commence 3 days of non-stop 24 hour prayer (people form a rota) which culminates on Sunday.

May the Holy Spirit pour out His gifts upon us this Pentecost!

"Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love.
