Dismantling, moving and rebuilding a range cooker

I have just been offered an old range cooker, I just need to collect it and fit it at home.

Has anyone dismantled, moved and rebuilt a solid fuel range cooker (Stanley), are there any "gotchas" that I would need to be aware of and does it need any specialised tools.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Do you need to dismantle it?
Sounds like a lot of hasse rather than moving it as it is

    Ah right.

Dunno who you'd ask or who'd know to be honest.

Have you asked Stanley in case they have some sort of repair/assembly manual?

Just a follow-up, the door was removed as part of the removation work (the house it was being taken from was being renovated) and we were able to slide it out.

Then used a tractor front bucket to carry it over to my place and shoved it into place.

I'm so glad I didn't need to dismantle it, most of the bolts looked like they would never shift!!!
