Asking a stranger out

Hi. There's a girl I've dealt with a few times in a clothes shop over the last 3 months. She's very friendly and helpful. Reading between the lines I sensed she was attracted to me (body language). I'd like to ask her out. But I don't even know her name. I'm afraid of embarrassing myself or being rejected. Also I'm worried I might come across as a bit of a stalker or a bit weird. However I feel I'm letting a chance go if I don't ask her out. Chances are she may already have a boyfriend, but is it worth asking her our for a drink? Thanks in advance

Is there anyone else there you could sound out?
This happened me a few times & as I was going out with someone it made the guys very embarrassed which I didn't want.
I would have gone out with a few of them had I been single, there was one guy who kept coming out of the dressing room with his fly undone on purpose so needless to say he had no chance!
So if you don't strut around with your fly open & you can't find out whether she is single then go for it.
Ask her out, all she can say is no.

By the way this is how I met my better half. It took us a while to get together but we did.

You should absolutely ask her. You've obviously been thinking about it for a while, so go for it! The worst she can do is say no, and even then, dealing with a 'no' response would be far less painless than spending the next few months worrying about asking her.

    Good luck :)

More or less! It was funny the first time, it got a bit old & weary after the tenth time.

OP should go for it. And invite us all to the wedding when they get married :)

Just ask her. Sure if she says no. you'll only need to head to a new clothes shop.

Finding a nice girl is absolutely worth the risk of making a fool of yourself.

    Well, isn't it?

    Good luck :)

Dont just ask her out !! Next time you go in just talk to her as you are buying little questions here and there, try to find out somthing about her, what she is doing her interestes ect.... Use this for the next time you go in there . Hi (name) how did you get on at (somthing) . Judging by her reaction you can move on from that. Sometime's she can give you an opening to ask her out .
Try make little bits of conversation as you go in there. See what happens from there.

    Hi OP
I was in a similar situation about a month ago.I decided that this girl was worth embarrasing myself for so I went for it as I would have regretted being spineless(all she can say is no).She had given me no indication of interest at all(you sense that she's interested). So it's a no brainer,be fair to yourself & if you're confident enough, talk to her otherwise, pass her a bit of paper etc.
Carpe diem(we'll be dead long enough!)

If only people who knew each other began dating, life would become very boring.
Take a chance, if it doesn't work out, what harm, you havn't ruined a friendship and maybe even one might grow from it.

Do you not think taking that chance could be detromental to asking her out.
Use a bit of tact before asking her out .

Hi, OP here. Thanks for the advice guys. I dropped by that clothes shop today. I was hoping for the right opportunity to get talking to the girl in question. But she was working in the back. I did get the chance however to descretely ask one of her fellow workers if this girl was single. She smiled and said no. So I guess that ends my interest. Perhaps I was delusional thinking she liked me. Nevertheless I am glad I aksed as it ends my curiosity. Worth asking I guess :)

Rookie mistake!! Don't ever ask a woman about another woman's romantic status. They are far more competitive and viciously subtle than we men are. There's no sisterhood when it comes to these things. Discretion is paramount - now you'll be the subject of girlie gossip in the shop and you may find it uncomfortable to shop there for a long while.

Always ask the person yourself - she can only really accept or reject your invitation - but either way, she'll appreciate your approach. If she has a boyfriend and she thinks that you are better prospect, she will do what she has to do to get rid of the boyfriend.

A former co-worker of mine was "stalked" for a few months by a beautiful Slovakian woman. She'd come in one or twice a week to shop and she'd make sure to engage him in conversation. They've now been living together in Bratislava for over two years.
