House MD Forum Charter - Updated June 2009

    Keep on Topic

This is a forum for the discussion of all things relating to House MD the television show.

Topics for discussion can be pretty broad, but please try and keep individual threads on the the topic at hand, for example, don't pull an individual episode thread onto the topic of Hugh Laurie really being from England.

Downloads/Streaming/"Where can I watch episodes for free"

Do not ask where you can download an episode. Do not ask where you can get episodes illegally.

If you want to see something you've missed, wait for a repeat, buy the DVD's etc, do not discuss on this forum anything pertaining to obtaining episodes of House MD in an illegal manner. Until such time as a UK or Irish TV provider provides catch-up online services for House MD this rule stands. Contravene this rule and there will be consequences for posters involved. The same penalty applies to anyone who posts links or otherwise advises users as to where movies can be downloaded or viewed illegally. Essentially, don't ask/don't tell.

    Advertising

This is not an ad site. If you find a great deal on House MD dvd's somewhere by all means let the members know, we also have a Bargain Alerts forum for such things. That's the height of it though. Shilling and spamming will not be tolerated.

If you are a official commercial Rep sanctioned by boards.ie, then please contact me by PM before posting your wares etc on this forum

    Basic Manners and TXTspeak

This is a forum for discussing a TV show. Please treat it as such and remember that this is just the internet. Don't take things too seriously, try not to get hot under the collar.

Personal abuse is not tolerated on boards.ie and will not be allowed here. Anything of this nature will warrant a sanction automatically.

Remember the golden rule of attack the post not the poster

TXTspeak is not allowed on this forum for the benefit of all readers. Please take the time to format your responses in a manner that makes them readable to others. Saying that though we all make spelling mistakes, don't stress about these, you can go back and edit posts etc afterwards if you notice it.

    Dragging up Old Threads

As a rule of thumb, if a thread is more than a year old, or the last reply is more than a year old, then it's advisable to either contribute to an ongoing thread, or start a new one.

    Moderation

The Moderator for this forum is Mystik Monkey (i.e Me)

If you an issue with a moderation decision please feel free to send me a PM and I will reply to you when I can. You can also use the Feedback and Helpdesk fora for such issues. Please do not question decisions on thread or by starting a new thread in the forum. There are mechanisms in place for dealing with grievances, use them instead.

I will be sure that when I take any action against a post or poster, the reasons for that action will be made clear to those involved, either on thread on via PM

If you have any suggestions on how to make this forum better or ideas for the pot, again please feel free to contact me.

Now go enjoy the forum! :D
