    Hi,
Heading over for the day to Inis Óirr in 2 week's time. Any tips as to which ferry company is the most reliable / safest?

Also, where would you recommend for a nice meal in Doolin & is there anywhere nice to eat on the island?

    Thanks in advance

You will get some of the best seafood in Ireland around Doolin, you can't go wrong really, O'Connor's has lovely food and there's always a good buzz around the place

I've never heard of any problems with any of the ferries so I can't really comment on them

    Hi Clareman,
Thanks for that info. Looks like Doolin has plenty of choice for food.
Now I'll just have to check out somewhere on the island for lunch. :)

An Ostan is ok for food on the island. Which ferry doesn't really matter, it depends on what departure time suits you. Just be wary coming back after a busy weekend, the earlier ferries get full quick so people get left behind until a later one. Even though you might have a ticket it's no guarantee that you'll get on. So if you want to be sure just que up on the pier.

You should stay a night there to get a right feel of the place.

Just back from Inis Oirr yesterday, fantastic weather.

We got the 8.45am boat which we were told was departing at 9am luckily we were early. Make sure you ring the ferry company and check the times as a group of friends who were coming later on had to take a tour boat to the cliffs of moher before getting to inis oirr because of the mixup of times.

Its great fun out there, some good sessions to be had
