Underground Apartment issue;

    Hi everyone,

    I have a apartment that I pay management fees on and the use of a underground carpark that is locked with electric gates. It can only be gotten into with a fob,

    Recently someone tried to steal my motorbike. They made a lousy job of it and managed to damage the ignition barrel. I had to replace this and at substantai cost, approxamitely €210 plus VAT.

    There are no signs anywhere on the premises to suggest that parking is at my own risk, could someone help me out with what options I have regarding pursuing the management company to cover these costs?

    What does your purchase / lease agreement say? It may include a section obliging you to insure and holding the management company free of responsibility.
