Just reading through this week's Foinse there and it looks like they are going to be adapting the caighdeán- nothing is set in stone as of yet, they have just appointed a director to oversee this issue amongst others, but has anyone got any inkling on what changes they would make?

Will they still be able to call it the caighdeán though if they include all the details of the canuinti- would it be possible that even grammatically there will be more than one way of putting something down?

It could be a good way to save the canuinti, but there is very little information yet on what exactly they intend to do.

i would imagine they will try to encourage the use of dialects in official documents when they relate to a certain are - if this is not already done i dunno

i would imagine the setting in stone of new technological terms will be outlined. altho there is a dictionary or two out it needs to be expressed and spread.

promotion of irish would be a better way of spending time and money, but i spose any step will be a good way forward with irish
