The App store was crap aswell at the start

My point exactly. It took the App store a while to get on it's feet, as, I am sure, will be the case with Ovi.

The new Ovi store is Rubbish for a number of reasons

    - Categories are not nearly broad enough; "Utilities"!?
    - Sorting categories is limited to "Free" or "Paid"
    - "Free" isn't even free most of the time, they're stupid trials!
    - Pricing is ridiculous. €5 - €10 for something that doesn't even have a proper preview, just a simple text description that sounds more like a cheesey promotional ad than a description. I bought a 79 cent game for my mates iPhone called enigmo the other day. 79 cent for a game that is better than any of the 200 odd games i have for my n95 (and im including proper games like quake and ngage games with those 200 i have)
    - Search is RUBBISH and comes up empty most of the time for me. Which means i am reduced to search by page scrolling, of which i get bored of after 4 - 5 pages.

To put it in context my favourite n95 things are - Marble Maze, an accelerometer game, Panoman camera app, and weather bug. NONE of which i could find on Ovi.

According to this article in Time magazine, they reckon that given the number of Nokia handsets out there, there is room in the market for the Apple App store and Ovi.

Doesn't sound like it's off to a good start, but give it time.
